Noli prohicere maccaritas ad porcos

I really hope Fidel Castro dies soon. Although, I'm sure his brother won't be much better.

It is still way too hot. And I my sunburn is angry at me.

And I need groceries. Badly. And beer.

I really don't have much else to say.

Quae sunt Caesaris, Caesari

This makes me happy. Best picture in a long time. I wish he would have fallen on his face. That would have been classic. Like, "George Sr. throwing up on the Japanesse PM" classic.

Carrie crashed here last night and we spent the day at the pool. Now I am sunburned. But hey, at least I got some color. I also made fried pickles. They were wonderful.

Krystle's 21st party is Sat. Which means two things: Keg. And lots of pictures. Can't wait.

College Jeopardy is way too easy. I answered all but 4 questions right in the first round. And 3/4 were about stars. And I don't know anything about stars. I didn't watch much of the second round, but from what I saw, I only got one wrong. Plus I got the Final Jeopardy question right. I should go on it. I could use the money.

Nice...

Sic transit gloria

So is anyone else amused by this? I mean, a chunk fell out of a like 300 foot tall marble monument. That's funny stuff. I wonder if the chunk hit anyone?

I watched Hook again this morning. For the second time in as many days. I used to LOVE that movie. I hadn't seen it in at least 5 years before yesterday.

Brand New hasn't rescheduled a Detroit date yet. I'm still pissed about it. At least I'll get to see Men, Women, and Children with Head Automatica in Cleveland in like a month.

I need to find a fantasy football league. It's the only fantasy sport that can keep my attention for more than a month.

About time.

P.S. It's so fucking hot. It's supposed to be 97 tomorrow. That's before the heat index/humidity. Carrie and I are going to go somewhere with A/C and sit there all day. Where? No clue.

O tempora, o mores

I really don't know why I'm up this early.

I finally put up some of my pictures I took on Put-in-Bay on Monday. They're on my Flickr. I think my favorite one of the 40 or so pictures I took is this one.

I've added a few new movies to my Netflix queue in the last few days. Most notably is V for Vendetta. I've heard plenty of good things about, so hopefully it won't disappoint. I've been happy with the last few movies I've gotten. Amores Perros was wonderful. Carrie even liked it. And she's usually not a fan of subtitled movies. I haven't watched Barry Lyndon yet, but it's one I've wanted to see for a long time.

I watched O' Brother, Where Art Thou? this morning, and I still love it. I've also recently watched Scary Movie 3 and Waiting. I only enjoyed the latter.

I've been obsessively playing NCAA Football 07 for about two weeks now. And it looks like EA finally released some downloads for it as well. I'm still really waiting for they to release the alternative jerseys (although they really should have been in the game to begin with).

My friends Lisa and Bekah are in Chicago this weekend and are going to Pitchfork. And I'm very jealous. They only have Sat. passes, but I'd still like to see The Walkmen, The Mountain Goats, Band of Horses, and Ted Leo and Rx. Although, if I had a choice, I would have gone on Sun. just to see The National.

First post.

So I'm deciding to try this whole "writing" thing again. I've had a lot of free time lately and this seems like something I will enjoy.

It's late, and I've been working on this thing for a while, so I'm going to save my real first post for tomorrow.
